Weld And Smullen Double Up At Tipperary
Dermot Weld and Pat Smullen continued their strong runs of form by teaming up to complete a double at Tipperary on Thursday. The highlight of the brace was perhaps the impressive win of Notable Graduate in the Curragh Racecourse Members Maiden, with Smullen guiding the son of Galileo to an easy 2½ lengths win. That win completed the double, as the in-form pairing had already combined with Anderiego to record a similarly easy three lengths success in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden. There was another very impressive winning performance in the opening Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden, with the Michael Mulvany-trained Tough As Nails absolutely bolting up by seven lengths under Gary Carroll. Carroll went on to complete a double of his own by riding the Seamus Fahey-trained Tinas Exhibition to a head success in the Join The Tipperary Supporter's Club 2011 Handicap.
