    Galway Saturday 4th August 2018:

For our supporters club third social trip of the year we made our inaugural visit as a group to the Galway Festival meeting, choosing the penultimate day, Super Saturday, for our outing.  Bus departed Tipperary town for Galway at 10:30 stopping en route to pick up members in Oola, Pallasgreen, Boher and Limerick arriving in good time for the races. Up to thirty of our members travelled west and enjoyed an afternoons card of flat and N.H racing.

Aidan O'Brien got proceedings off at 14:00, training a popular winner for backers with Broome taking the honours at 4/5 with his son Donnacha in the saddle.  We saw Willie Mullins winning his fifth feature race of Galway Festival 2018 when Low Sun found plenty for pressure to give Katie O'Farrell another victory in the Galway Shopping Centre Handicap Hurdle.

Off track, we were entertained throughout the day by live music in the enclosure and a host of family entertainment provided in the Festival Village, offering a fun afternoon for all with everyone who attended savouring the unique atmosphere of the Galway Festival meeting.  We departed Galway after the eight race following an excellent days racing, stopping at Lady Gregory Hotel Gort for an hours social visit to review and discuss the events of a great day.

Our first collective outing to the Galway Summer Festival was most enjoyable where good weather, top class racing and excellent facilities combined to provide a great day out for all our group.  Returned to Tipperary for 22:00

We eagerly await our next members trip to Leopardstown on the 15th September 2018 for day 1 of the Irish Champions Weekend - a date not to be missed!

    Leopardstown Saturday 2nd February 2018:

A group of almost thirty traveled by bus to Leopardstown for Day 1 of the inaugural Dublin Racing Festival.  Bus collected Members in Pallasgreen, Oola, Monard, Tipperary, Golden, Cashel, and Horse & Jockey on route to south Dublin track.

All enjoyed wonderful racing with three Grade 1 races on offer, including one of the highlights of the N.H. calendar, the BHP Insurance Irish Champion Hurdle.

While Faugheen was the star attraction for many of our group to land this feature race, there was great excitement when we saw Supasundae taking the honours at 8/1 for the Jessica Harrington yard.

In addition to top class racing on the track, we were treated to live music, comedy performances, cookery demonstrations & DJ sets throughout the day in the enclosure.

Departed Leopardstown 17.30 following an exhilarating days racing.  Called at Horse & Jockey Hotel for refreshments where discussion on days winners continued during our sixty minute stop,

Our first social outing of the year concluded in Pallasgreen at 21.15.  A great day was had by all.

Cork Easter Monday 2nd April 2018:

Almost twenty of our Members attended Cork Racecourse Mallow for P2P raceday with an all N.H.card and Family day entertainment.  Members joined bus in Pallasgreen, Limerick Junction, Tipperary, Emly and Kilmallock arriving in Mallow at 13.00.

The Mallow Maiden Hurdle over three miles got the action under way at 13.45 with Stoneford from the Noel Meade stable taking victory at 13/8 under Keith Donoghue.  This was a popular success getting many of our group off to a winning start.

The Point-to-Point flat races produced winners in Judkin at 12/1 and fav Portnablagh for Cork & Meath handlers Jimmy Mangan and Gordon Elliott respectively.  Portnablagh stayed on well to lead close home to give Gordon Elliott his 200th winner of the season.

In both races we saw National Hunt stars of the future taking victory on this final day of Cork Easter Festival.

Many of our Members visited the extensive children's entertainment provided on site including playground, bouncy castles, rodeo bull, pet farm. This ensured a complete fun day out for all the family.

We eagerly await our Point-to-Point meeting in Tipperary.  If Tipp provides the same thrilling action and entertainment - we are on a winner on May 10th.

All thoroughly enjoyed Easter visit to Cork Racecourse and look forward to further great days out over the summer months.  Returned to Pallasgreen for 20.30.
